She had a wild side and was a big tomboy growing up, just like Arya. They also say that Arya looks much like her, and Arya has been called horseface, so she was good looking but not an exceptional beauty. (Kevan Lannister recalls Lyanna having a "wild beauty" about her. But her looks paled in comparison to a young Cersei Lannister, "however bright a torch might burn it could never match the rising sun.")
